General Information: This basil has a stronger flavor than sweet basil, and the reddish-purple leaves create a unique look in salads.
To dry, wait until the flowers begin to open, then cut clusters off and hang them upside down, turning periodically until dry.
Large, flat, dark red to purple leaves have a sweet flavor. Vigorous plants are highly decorative.
