The poinsettia selling season is upon us, and all the industry's hard work supplying, producing, growing and shipping this seasonal class of plants is making its way into the hands and homes of consumers. From commercial businesses, municipalities or churches setting the stage for the season, to gifts for loved ones as holiday visits abound, the poinsettia has long been a a herald of winter decor in North America.

But even a seasonal staple needs a reinvigorating promo campaign every now and then.

For the past two years, Ball Horticultural Company has invested in marketing outreach to show off new ways to enjoy poinsettias in the home. The influx of fun new novelty colors and patterns has made inspiring the next generation much easier, such as the Selecta One Sky series of poinsettia, available in Red, Fantasy and now Pink. Modern styling that appeals to audiences as a conversation starter or as they crave something unique.

The outreach investment includes an online article that is syndicated and available to media outlets and online publishers all across the U.S. and Canada as their editorial staff looks for seasonal content to share with their audiences.

In 2024, Ball produced a video and article titled, "4 Expert Poinsettia Styling Tips to Add Holiday Cheer to Your Home". It focused on poinsettia timing, small- or personal-sized options for place-settings, and whimsical colors and shapes.

Now, in 2025, Ball has released a second poinsettia decor article titled, "Make a Holiday Statement with Charming Poinsettias". This year's article highlights custom poinsettia color as well as how shape and pattern can bring new life to tradition.

To-date, the 2025 article has been picked up by 773 online placements for a total site audience of 141 million viewers. What a great way to share the joy poinsettias bring to the season!

Below is the quick video accompanying this year's consumer article. Feel free to use or share this content – the videos or the articles themselves – on your own social or web pages! This outreach is just one example of how Ball Seed strives to pull-through consumer excitement and awareness for the plants and products our customers sell.
