  • Improved durability: Varieties tested for longer shelf life and resilience during shipping, critical for large-scale distribution.

Gorgeous landscape view of the mums at the Ball Seed Ball for Fall Event

What a great turnout we had at the first-ever Ball for Fall Event. Growers from around the Midwest came out to see our fantastic Garden Mums showcase here at The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago. Having the opportunity to visit on two different days, September 19th and October 3rd, gave customers the chance to see the different growth stages of our assortment of mums in the landscape.

Ball Seed introduced a few new mum families designed to meet grower needs. Featured varieties included the newest family of garden mums: Cyclone, in five different colors. Its mounded habit and striking blooms are a definite standout in Yellow, Golden Yellow, Pink, Light Pink and White.

Another head-turner is the large, full family of mums: Axios. Growers can fill out their mum program with six colors to choose from, including: Yellow, Purple, Orange, Pink, Light Pink and White. With a medium to large vigor, Axios offers gorgeous medium-sized blooms and a perfect European habit great for shipping.
